Schaumburg, Illinois incorporated in 1956 and is located just 26 miles northwest of downtown Chicago. The village covers an are of 19.1 square miles and has a population of 72,690 est. The Village of Schaumburg is the largest center of economic development in the State of Illinois outside the City of Chicago. We have more retail sales here than anywhere else except the City, as much office space as downtown Milwaukee, and 10 million square feet of industrial development.

Schaumburg’s Woodfield Trolley - a FREE transportation alternative which allows shoppers to park and shop at one Woodfield area location and then travel FREE to any of 7 destinations served by the Trolley. Shoppers can avoid the headaches of traffic and trying to find parking at each location by hopping on board one of the unique Trolley-styled buses.
Woodfield Mall - is a shopping mall located in Schaumburg, Illinois at the intersection of Golf Road and Illinois Route 53. Woodfield opened on September 9, 1971 with 59 stores, growing to 189 stores with 1.9 million retail square feet by 1973, the largest mall in the United States at that time. It is currently the largest mall in the Chicago area.
